An intergenerational dialogue
An intense physical commitment
"And he said to me : Madame, you are losing your memory."
A sensitive issue
« I remember, therefore I am », raises the question concerning memory. It plunges the viewer into a world where past memories and present moments tangle. What values do we give memories? What are the consequences of their loss?
The different scenes follow each other without any logical sense. The chaotic chronology of the play alters its relationship with time. The dancers are led on by their unreliable memory and take on the stage between flashes of lucidity and moments of loss.
Reliving their past, they are caught by a recurring theme, a never ending memory.
...We really wanted there to be a grannie present in the room. Our meeting with Louisette was overwhelming and capital in the staging of the project...
